Your Safety, Our Priority

How We Protect You

256-bit SSL Encryption

All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.3, the industry standard for banking security.

Multi-Factor Authentication

We require a second verification step for logins and high-value transactions to protect against unauthorised access.

Real-Time Fraud Detection

Our AI-powered fraud monitoring analyses transactions 24/7 and flags suspicious activity instantly.

Automatic Session Timeout

Your online banking session automatically expires after a period of inactivity to prevent unauthorised use.

Zero Password Storage

We never store your password in plain text. Passwords are salted and hashed using bcrypt.

FSCS Protected

Your eligible deposits are protected up to £85,000 by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).

How to Protect Yourself

Your security is a shared responsibility. Here are simple steps to keep your account safe.

Use a Strong Password
Use a unique, complex password for your online banking — at least 12 characters with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols. Never reuse passwords across sites.
Watch for Phishing
Bradford CU will NEVER ask for your PIN, full password, or security codes by email, phone, or text. Always access online banking by typing our address directly in your browser.
Avoid Public Wi-Fi
Do not access your online banking on public or unsecured Wi-Fi networks. Use a trusted home or mobile data connection.
Keep Your App Updated
Always install updates for our mobile app and your device operating system — updates often include critical security patches.
Review Statements Regularly
Check your account statements frequently and report any unrecognised transactions to us immediately at info@bradfordcu.org.
